Artbooking in August! Project #4! Giftable.

Welcome to Week #4 of the Artbooking in August Blog Hop. Last week's artwork was so phenomenal and this week over 35 creative consultants are at it again!

Our challenge is to create 4 different projects using the Cricut Artbooking cartridge and any CTMH paper pack.  Our mission is to design each of the following. This week I chose a the Home Decor Giftable item- mine is both!

1. 2 page layout
2. Card
3. Mini Book
4. Home decor or 'giftable' item

If you arrived here from Jan's Blog you are on the right track!

(Remember this is a circular blog hop and if you get lost or confused along the way, the list is posted on Adeline's blog here.)

Now let's take a look at that Giftable Decor I mentioned...

I created a 12x12 frame ready Baby Stat Keepsake with an "Americana Baseball" theme!

I personalized it with a custom name and will list out the date, height, weight, etc...

I used the new Artbooking cartridge bundle to harvest a circle chipboard shape to create as a baseball. I cut the sticitching from Cranberry Cardstock and added sponge shading. I also used the cartridge to cut out the phrase "All Boy".

I used the new Make It From Your Heart Volume 2 for a sketch inspiration for the layout itself. I also added a ribbon of burlap layered over a strip of Cranberry cardstock so that the pops of red show through the texture.

Hope you like my project!

Artbooking in August! Project #3! Mini Book

Welcome to Week #3 of the Artbooking in August Blog Hop. Last week's artwork was so phenomenal and this week over 35 creative consultants are at it again!

Our challenge is to create 4 different projects using the Cricut Artbooking cartridge and any CTMH paper pack.  Our mission is to design each of the following. This week I chose a the Mini Book!

1. 2 page layout
2. Card
3. Mini Book
4. Home decor or 'giftable' item

If you arrived here from Jan's Blog you are on the right track!

(Remember this is a circular blog hop and if you get lost or confused along the way, the list is posted on Adeline's blog here.)

Now let's take a look at that Mini-book I mentioned...

I used my Artbooking Cartridge to create a flower girl photo album! I made a horizontal and a vertical version. (The book is a small clear plastic album you can find at Michaels or Dollar Stores that holds 4 x6 photos. I decorated the front and back of the covers.)

I used Lucy bulk papers as my base. The flip side of the paper is used to cut the word "Girl".

The flower was cut from page 80 of the booklet. I layer a whisper grey cut onto the pink side of the Lucy paper and added glitter gel to the outermost edge. The petal cuts in the center I inked with pigment ink in cotton candy and left them raised. The pink button made the perfect center!

This is is the inside of the album. This cricut shape matches perfectly to the memo stamp included in the bundle. I had to set my machine on "8". I am going to use this accent to journal the Bride and Groom's name, Flower Girl name, Date, place, etc... This way my daughter will always remember when she got to be a flower girl!

This is a small accent I added to the back cover of the album. "Sweet Heart". This is what I keep saying in my head when I see the photos again. "awww, she was such a sweet heart!" hehehhe.

Hope you like my project!

Welcome to the NEW Product Blog Hop featuring projects made with new items from the Autumn Winter 2013 Idea Book!

If you arrived here from Georgia's Blog then you are on the right track!

I am spotlighting the new Workshop On The Go Kit titled "Laughing Lola". My 2 page layout was created based on the guide that comes included in the kit (I just modified it slightly to suit my needs).

Here are some close ups!

I frayed my black hemp string on the ends by peeling the threads apart after i tied it.

Hope you like my project!

Artbooking in August! Project #2! Cricut Card

Welcome to Week #2 of the Artbooking in August Blog Hop. Last week's artwork was so phenomenal and this week over 35 creative consultants are at it again!

Our challenge is to create 4 different projects using the Cricut Artbooking cartridge and any CTMH paper pack.  Our mission is to design each of the following. This week I chose a Card!

1. 2 page layout
2. Card
3. Mini Book
4. Home decor or 'giftable' item

If you arrived here from Jan's Blog you are on the right track!

(Remember this is a circular blog hop and if you get lost or confused along the way, the list is posted on Adeline's blog here.)

Now let's take a look at that card I mentioned...

I guess I have back to school on my mind! The NEW Artbooking Cricut Cartridge Bundle includes MANY many great items with a "school" theme. The pieces I used on this card are just the tip of the ice-burg!

I love the look of a notebook paper torn from the spiral! I cut the notebook paper in white, then stamped the lines on in "Crystal Blue" ink. It turns out about the same shade you think of lined paper to be! I then also stamped the "You're A Star" sentiment, and the star on the card base. These stamps are all part of the bundle.

The base of my card is Crystal Blue Cardstock. The chevron patterned paper is from the new "Frosted" paper pack! You also see some Lagoon Houndstooth Washi Tape used as an accent.

Hope you like my project!

Each Monday in August, these ladies will be posting artwork to their blogs and you can follow their blogs or set your alarm to make sure you do not miss a post!

If you arrived here from Jan's Blog then you are on the right track!

Our challenge was to create 4 different projects using the Cricut Artbooking cartridge and any CTMH paper pack. For this week I chose the 2 page layout.

1. 2 page layout
2. Card
3. Mini Book
4. Home decor or giftable item

Artbooking was the perfect excuse to finally scrap this special topic- My sister in laws 30th Birthday party! This cartridge as awesome birthday items, for this layout I used the titles!

I hopped around in the cartridge and used bits and pieces from all over. What i was most excited about was I created the right hand page frame well panel with my Gypsy cardstock, then used the negative space as photo mats on the left side page! (Get some mileage out of my cardstock!)

The stamps I used here in the title are part of the Bundle that comes with the Artbooking cartridge.

Couldn't wait to try out the new Washi Tape!

Hope you like my 2 Page Layout example using Artbooking! Now hop on over to Jane's Blog and see what she has created! Don't forget to tune in again next Monday to see more ideas!
